Program Training
The added value of knowledge transfer
Training is a value-added component in our complete service package and is provided at no charge to customers. At implementation and product roll out, training includes general overall instruction on the solutions. PMSI absorbs the cost of any additional training to educate client staff on new service enhancements.
Working with our clients, PMSI has developed a comprehensive training and knowledge-transfer program customized for each client to drive efficiencies in program execution that promises unmitigated, all-inclusive support throughout the partnership. Training can either be conducted in person or online. Our training programs include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employer-Level Training – Best utilization of the first fill and supplemental card programs to make obtaining medications for injured employees hassle free, with the goal of achieving program utilization at the earliest stage of the claim possible to ensure optimal network penetration and reduce out-of-network transactions.
Corporate-Level Training – For corporate risk managers, focuses on cost containment by providing insight into industry drivers affecting cost of pharmacy, as well as legislative changes that may affect employers’ overall costs.
Additionally, training can be provided at the nurse level (if employer has triage operations or in-house clinics) to provide insight into ways nurses can assist in directing injured workers to specific pharmacies in the network and provide insight into the various PMSI programs that serve to look out for the well-being of the injured worker as well as support efforts in return-to-work programs.
We also provide CE-based training to improve awareness and understanding of the medications used in workers’ compensation to treat pain, as well as provide a complete overview of the PMSI formularies and the role they play in controlling utilization.
Claims Professional-Level Training – Equips claims professionals and risk managers to take full advantage of PMSI’s program benefits and value-add features that drive cost containment and workflow efficiency. All our CE courses are also available to claims professionals.
