Eileen Auen is Chairman and CEO of PMSI, Inc., a leading provider of cost containment solutions for the workers’ compensation industry. PMSI operates as one of the largest specialty services providers for Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Durable Medical Equipment, Home Health Care and Case Settlement Services. PMSI offers payors clinically based programs, enabled by advanced reporting and technology systems that drive quantifiable results and improve the quality of care to injured workers. With over 20 years of executive experience in workers’ compensation and healthcare, Eileen drives the strategic direction for all of PMSI’s business units.
Previously, Eileen served as the CEO of APS Healthcare, a leading specialty healthcare company providing behavioral health and care management services to over 20 million members. She also served as the Head of Healthcare Management for Aetna, the nation’s third largest health insurer. Eileen began her career in the consulting practice of Booz, Allen and Hamilton where she focused on the financial services and insurance industry. She has served as president of HealthNet of the Northeast, president of CIGNA Healthcare – Southeast Region, senior vice president of Intracorp, CIGNA’s care management subsidiary, and senior vice president of Riscorp, a Florida-based workers’ compensation insurer.
In 2010, Eileen was recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance, a print publication serving insurance executives, and in 2011, Eileen received the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s prestigious “Business Woman of the Year” award in the Business Services category.
Eileen has an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a BA in economics and finance from Towson University, graduating magna cum laude. She is a member of the Board of Directors of ICF International, a global consulting firm.
